Head Women's Soccer Coach
Greg Walter
Greg Walter enters his fourth year as head women's soccer coach.

Walter led his team to a 6-10-3 record in 2008, including a 2-5-1 mark in the MCC.  He guided one player to all-conference recognition.

Walter came to Penn after spending six years as head coach of the women's soccer program at MacMurray College, an NCAA Division III institution in Jacksonville, Ill. He also served as the interim men's coach during the 2005 season.

While at MacMurray, Walter coached a squad of 20 players. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he managed several other aspects of the program, including recruiting prospective players, preparing the budget, scheduling, coordinating travel arrangements, ordering equipment, and overseeing practices.

Walter was also a prolific player at MacMurray, earning three all-conference honors as a goalkeeper. He was voted his team's Freshman of the Year as well as MVP during his junior campaign.

He has received his Advanced Regional and National NSCAA Coaching Diploma.

Walter, a 1996 graduate of MacMurray, lives in Oskaloosa with his wife Melinda and their five children: Paige, 15, Nicholas, 8, Ryan, 5, Emily, 3, and Ella, 6 months.


Head Men's Soccer Coach
Kevin Rushing

Kevin Rushing enters his fourth year as head men's soccer coach at Penn.

Rushing led his team to an 8-8-2 record (3-5 MCC) and guided to two players to all-conference recognition.

Rushing came to Penn from Hiwassee College, a junior college in Madisonville, Tenn., where he served as head coach of both the men's and women's soccer programs since May 2004. While at Hiwassee, he was responsible for all aspects of the program, including scheduling, travel arrangements, management of the budget, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, in addition to other jobs.

During his time at Hiwassee, Rushing was also the Director of Intramurals and Assistant Head Resident of the men's dorm.

Prior to his head coaching assignment at Hiwassee, Rushing was an assistant coach for the men's team beginning in 2002. He also has assistant coaching experience at Friendship Christian Academy in Lebanon, Tenn., in 1999.

Rushing earned his associate's degree in physical education from Hiwassee in 2004 and received his bachelor's degree in exercise science from NAIA Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2005. He also spent two years at Cumberland University (Tenn.) and was a two-year letterwinner on the football team.
